The Linden Method was created by Charles Linden to cure himself of the severe panic and anxiety that he had suffered since his childhood. As well as anxiety and panic he also suffered from agoraphobia and OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Charles found that all these anxiety disorders were the result of the same cause. He used this knowledge to create the method that was to eliminate his own anxiety and that is now available as The Linden Method.
The Linden Method has been hugely successful with over 100,000 people having used it to become free of anxiety and panic disorders. Thanks to the success of his Linden Method, Charles Linden has become a recognized authority on the subject of anxiety disorders. He is a regular contributor to newspapers and magazines and he has also had his own television series called "Stress Less". The Times newspaper in the UK awarded his book "Stress Free in 30 Days" a "must read" seal of approval.

The Linden Method is the product of many years research by Charles Linden involving people who had overcome anxiety disorders and how they did it. Charles found that many of these people all told similar stories and it was these similarities that led to the creation of The Linden Method.
Charles found that all anxiety disorders had the same cause. They are all caused by the amygdala. The amygdala is a small organ in the brain that reacts like a switch that can either turn anxiety on or off. People experience anxiety disorders as the results of the amygdala switching itself on and getting stuck. The reason why The Linden Method works is because it teaches techniques that result in the amygdala switching itself off. This is the root cause of all anxiety disorders. So many other anxiety treatments fail all for the same reason that they ignore the root cause that is behind the anxiety. This is the reason for The Linden Methods incredibly high success rate of 96%.
The Linden Method does not involve the usage of any prescription drugs as these simply suppress symptoms instead of resolving the root cause of the problem. You will be encouraged early on in the program if you are on medication that you don't need your medicine to get better. Anxiety sufferers need to take control of their thoughts and emotions instead of suppressing them with medication. There can be no permanent cure for anxiety whilst you try to artificially control how you feel with chemicals. As somebody who always seemed to suffer from side effects to drugs and never got any benefit from them I was pleased that this was covered early on.
You may think that other anxiety therapies can help you, but whilst using The Linden Method it is advised that you don't use them as you may become distracted. Switching between different therapies and therapists all the time won't get you anywhere. You need to commit yourself to something and allow it time to work. The Linden Method has helped so many people that its success should inspire enough confidence in the user to stick with it until they get results. Don't give up when it doesn't work straight away and try something else. You will just end up using other people’s remedies and methods as a crutch instead of being completely responsible for your own recovery.
The Linden Method may be challenging for you as you will be asked not to rely on anybody else for their comfort and reassurances. Friends and family can impede your recovery if you continue to rely on them for support. In order to help your partner understand how they can be best support you Charles's wife Elizabeth has written a chapter on the role that they can best play to help you.
The Linden Method will teach you how to keep your attention diverted when you start to feel anxious as diversion is a powerful technique for stopping panic attacks. Information about Diet and how it affects anxiety is included. By making changes to your diet can reduce your anxiety levels.
When you consider how different your life is going to be once you have overcome your panic and anxiety the price of The Linden Method seem a very small price to pay. The Linden Method manual is over 250 pages in length. Included in the package are videos and audio recordings of interviews with Charles, relaxation and breathing techniques and meditations.
My experiences using The Linden Method have been remarkable and I would definitely recommend it to anybody else who is currently experiencing panic or anxiety disorders.
