Are you sick of feeling awful after you have had an anger outburst? Are you ready to get rid of that feeling of regret? If you take some or all of the steps that I'm about to describe to heart and really put them to work you should be able to control your anger outbursts and start feeling better about yourself and the rest of your life.

Learning how to articulate your anger in a more assertive, but not aggressive, way is a successful method to deal with your angry emotions yourself. Counselling can also help you to do this. You will be able to express what you want without hurting other people's feelings and is a good healthy way to re-channel your anger.

The best way to cope with your anger is to write down how you feel; writing can take away your annoyance and irritation towards whatever is bothering you or whoever is bugging you. Plus, it can help you realize why you are angry in the first place. Another thing, taking a deep breath can calm your nerves and mind.

If you find that your outbursts usually happen when you are put in a certain situation, then you should try avoiding those situations. For example, if you are predisposed to road rage then maybe try leaving for work a half hour earlier to avoid heavy traffic. In my case, I find that I tend to be more prone to anger outbursts when I'm in large crowds so I try to avoid them at all costs. I can't always avoid crowds, but the event better be pretty special for me to expose myself to crowds and a possible outburst.

If there is one particular person or event that can flare you up or push your limitation, then there are two things you can do. Talk to that person and ask them, they may not deliberately bait you. If that doesn't work, it is best to end whatever relationship you had with them

Now that you understand the reason for your irritation and how best to cope with your anger on a positive way, use them daily until you are totally able to easily control your emotion. Only you can help yourself and no one else. Not even your love ones can change you. So before you ruin yourself by those unwanted feelings, deal with them right now and use these as your tool to solve your anger issue
