THE PRODUCT IS FINE. THE DELIVERY THAT I PAID FOR WAS LATE AND THE PRODUCT DID NOT ARRIVE IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!!! AND ONE OF THE RECIPIENTS HAD TO RETURN TO NEW YORK BEFORE IT FINALLY ARRIVED. FOLLOWING THE TRACKING, THE PRODUCT LEFT YOUR CITY, WENT TO ANOTHER CITY, THEN RETURNED TO YOUR CITY, THEN LEFT AGAIN — THIS WASTED 3 DAYS!!!! I DID NOT GET THE PROMPT DELIVERY THAT WAS PROMISED. I WILL NEVER TRUST AMAZON AGAIN.

I ordered this product as a Christmas gift for my wife who has a Kindle. The product arrived as scheduled in time for Christmas but when opened she found that the bulb was defective. Amazon agreed to a product exchange and sent paper work to return the defective at no charge by e-mail, but refused to send the replacement express, even though I explained we would be leaving on an extended business trip to Asia and wanted the product before we left. We were assured normal shipping would get the light to us by our deadline. It didn’t. We are still in Asia and the replacement product is probably sitting in our PO Box. We have no idea if the quality will be acceptable but suspect that the return window will expire before we arrive back in the USA

The light had a loose wire or something and did not work properly unless it was bent in just the right way.

I already had a book light, but bought this one because I felt it might be better to use with my Kindle. The batteries already
in the unit lasted approximately three hours. Replaced it with the ones included as extras. Hope they last longer. Have
looked for more for replacements and found them to be very expensive. Very disappointed with the quality of this product. Will probably use the one I have because it has two light feature and uses AAA batteries that last a long time. I paid $3 for the one I have and spent $26.00 for the new one including shipping. Big mistake!!

I really wanted to like this product.
I bought this product to replace a LED book light that took a AAA battery pack. The problem I had with my “old” light was the flexible neck connection to the battery pack shorted after about a year. What I loved about my “old” light was the brightness – 6 little LED bulbs (and two brightness settings). So basically, I was looking for a product that wouldn’t be prone to the electrical connection woes that my old light experienced.
After some research, I bought this light. It’s small and sleek looking with a cool on/off switch in the top if the light. The light itself is powered with disk batteries, contained within the top(no connections to short out but a huge pain to replace, even though it comes with two spare batteries). The two LED lights are NOT adequate to read by in total darkness without experiencing significant eye-strain after a few minutes. There is only one “brightness” setting on the light which is okay since it’s so dim on full power that you would never need another setting. Also, when attached to the top of the Kindle the flexible neck isn’t long enough to evenly illuminate the whole screen on my Kindle DX. To add to my nitpickyness, the big clip on the light is very high profile and sticks way out when attached to my kindle – it kinda ruins the whole sleek/ergodynamic feel of the light.
If you want a light that: 1)does not take expensive disk batteries 2)cranks out much more light – and has brightness settings 3)has a lower profile clip, check out the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip-On Light (Kindle Version). Unless you’re a disk battery reseller with cat-like night vision, pass on this light.
